Not sure of your path, but you are near Whitefish Point. The bay is where the Edmund Fitzgerald went down in the '70s. Great maritime museum there. My father and I were shore fishing there once in dawn fog and the most enormous foghorn ever cut loose only about 50 feet away and I thought I would crap my pants. Check out Tahquamenon Falls also.
The picture is at the city campground in Ontonagon. A local told me the lake has frozen over a couple of times in the last hundred years. Hard for a left-coaster like me to imagine. Sad to say I missed the turn-off to Tahquamenon Falls but I adhere to a strict "no-doubling-back" policy. ;->
Dragged screaming from the womb and thrust into these Augean Stables, I attempt to find meaning and my place in the great hall.
The boss says, "Meaning? You want meaning? Grab this shovel and keep shoveling this shit until I tell you it's quittin' time! There's your meaning!"
